Generative AI

Generative AI providers build products on top of large language models and other generative models: assistants and chat interfaces, retrieval systems that answer from your own documents, content generation, and agents that carry out multi-step tasks.
Many firms have added “generative AI” to their services recently, so it is worth separating specialists from general software agencies that now offer AI work. The companies listed here are established software development firms with a growing focus on AI products. That can be a strength, since a generative AI feature still needs solid engineering around it, but ask for examples of AI work they have shipped, not just general development projects.
Before hiring, ask how they evaluate model output quality, how they handle your data and which model providers they use, what happens when a model is updated or deprecated, and what ongoing costs (model usage, hosting, monitoring) look like after launch. Our profiles note what we could confirm from each company’s public work.
